The two-model line is built for office refresh and fleet deployment quotes, where displays carry the highest unit count and the tightest budget scrutiny. Displays are rarely the most expensive line on a refresh quote, but they are usually the most numerous — which makes them the line most likely to be questioned. Two market conditions have made the category harder for resellers to win on price alone.
Dual monitors are now the standard desk configuration in roughly 80% of workplaces, making displays the highest-count line on a typical refresh. At the same time, about 35% of small and mid-sized business buyers actively seek a budget option when specifying displays.
